Bobtail Rebuilds, Upfits, Re-Chassis

We specialize in retrofitting your existing bobtail, giving it a new lease on life. When we rebuild a bobtail on a customer supplied cab and chassis, every one is a bit different. It’s contingent on the truck you supply. We first conduct industry standard inspections on the cargo tank to determine its’ road worthiness and safety. Renaldo Sales is a registered Cargo Tank Inspection Station. If it passes inspection, it moves on to the next phase. If not, we can either send your tank out for repairs, or offer to install either a new, or refurbished tank.

We strive to incorporate as many of the existing components as practical from the donor truck. Often, what you think you can reuse is either old technology or has seen better days. However, if it’s a matter of cost, we can rebuild pumps, meters and hose reels to offset the cost of new components, and they are perfectly ready to give you many more years (gallons) of useful life.

Stock Trucks

A stock truck from Renaldo’s is a package that features our most popular bobtail configuration. We pair this platform with the latest model Kenworth T-390 chassis and a new 3,499 MC331 cargo tank from National Tank. All tanks are sand blasted and painted with a white epoxy finish and chip guard. From there, we incorporate state of the art components from Liquid Controls, Blackmer, Hannay, MEC, JOMAR, and Base Engineering along with our custom stainless-steel deck and piping system.

Mini-Bobtail

Gaining in popularity are platforms we call Mini-Bob’s, or Mini-Bobtails. Generally, we provide 1,200-gallon MC331 cargo tanks on a four-wheel drive F550 or comparable Class 5 chassis. What’s the advantage? Maneuverability, being able to operate in a confined space, overcoming poor winter road conditions, flexibility on emergency out of fuel calls, and the list goes one. Every retail operation should consider this versatile truck. You’d be surprised how much use this truck would receive.
